Miami delivers two things to every outdoor party: sunshine and the threat of a 3 p.m. thunderstorm. A party tent handles both. It blocks direct UV so guests stay cool during the day, catches rain so your setup stays dry when a cloud rolls through, and frames your backyard or park site with a clean, polished look that pulls everything together.
We carry a 20x10 Canopy Tent for smaller gatherings and food stations, and a 20x20 High Peak Tent with a dramatic peaked silhouette for seated dinners, graduations, quinceañeras, and larger celebrations. Both are commercial-grade, white, and sharp enough for photos.
Delivery and setup are included in all tent rentals across our core service area. Our crew arrives early, installs the frame and canopy, anchors every point with stakes or sandbags depending on the surface, and returns after the event to break everything down. Capacity Planning Guide
How many guests fit under a tent depends on the layout. For a seated dinner with rectangular tables, plan for about 15 square feet per guest. For cocktail-style standing events, 8 square feet per guest is comfortable.
Under the 20x10 Canopy (200 sq ft), you can fit 2 to 3 rectangular tables with seating for 12 to 18 guests, or a food service station and a small lounge area. Under the 20x20 High Peak (400 sq ft), you can seat 32 to 40 guests at 6 to 8 tables, or host 40 to 50 cocktail-style.

Miami Weather & Your Tent
Sun and heat: From May through October, Miami daytime highs run 88 to 92 degrees with intense UV. The white canopy reflects solar heat rather than absorbing it, and open sides allow cross-ventilation. Even in winter (December through February), the tent blocks direct sun and keeps food tables and seating comfortable.
Afternoon storms: During wet season (May through October), 20- to 40-minute thunderstorms are nearly daily between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Both tents are waterproof and anchored to withstand typical Miami weather. We suspend setup and notify customers if severe weather advisories are issued for the event area. A tent turns a rain delay from a crisis into a conversation piece. For exposed or windy locations, sidewall panels on the 20x20 add extra wind and rain protection.
Dry season events: November through April offers mild temperatures and low rain odds. Tents still earn their keep by blocking direct sun for daytime events and framing your space for evening celebrations.
Delivery & Setup Process
Our crew handles everything. We arrive during your agreed delivery window, assess the surface, and install the tent frame with center poles (high peak) or pop-up frame (canopy). On grass, we drive steel ground stakes at every anchor point. On concrete, pavers, or pool decks, we use 75-pound sandbags.
The 20x10 canopy is up in 20 to 30 minutes. The 20x20 high peak takes 45 to 60 minutes. If you are also renting tables and chairs, we set those up under the tent before we leave. At the end of your event, we return, break everything down, and haul it away.

Permits & Regulations
Private property: No permit is required for temporary event tents on your backyard, driveway, or private property in Miami-Dade County. If you live in an HOA community, check with your association about event setup rules. Most HOAs allow tents for single-day events with advance notice.
Miami-Dade Parks: Park events require a reservation and an approved vendor. Disco Party Rentals is a fully approved Miami-Dade Parks vendor. We file the vendor paperwork on your behalf. Popular tent-friendly parks include Tropical Park, A.D. Barnes Park, and Continental Park. Call us before you book the park so we can sync on dates and confirm the tent fits the site.
Commercial venues: Some venues, churches, and school campuses have their own tent policies. We can coordinate directly with your venue contact to confirm placement, anchoring method, and timeline.

A tent by itself provides shade and shelter. Add tables and chairs and you have a complete event space. We offer two easy ways to bundle:
Tent and Seating Package ($515): The 20x20 High Peak Tent plus 8 rectangular tables and 80 white folding chairs, all delivered and set up together. This is our most popular graduation and quinceañera setup. View all packages.
Build your own: Rent the tent, then add individual tables ($10 each) and chairs ($2 each) to match your exact guest count. Add a concession machine or a bounce house for the kids and you have a full party in one delivery.

Extended Miami-Dade zones carry a small flat delivery fee shown at checkout. A refundable deposit secures your date: $50 for orders under $500, $100 for $500-$999, and 25% for orders of $1,000 or more. We accept credit cards, debit cards, Zelle, Venmo, and cash.

Yes. Both tents are built from commercial-grade materials built to withstand normal Miami weather conditions. Our crew anchors every attachment point with ground stakes on grass or 75-pound sandbags on hard surfaces. If a named storm or National Weather Service warning forces a cancellation, we reschedule at no charge or refund your deposit. For afternoon thunderstorms (the daily summer pattern in Miami), the tent keeps your guests dry and your party running.
Grass is preferred because we anchor with ground stakes for maximum stability. We also set up on concrete driveways, paver patios, pool decks, and parking areas using 75-pound sandbag weights at every anchor point. Not for temporary event tents on private property. Your backyard, driveway, or community clubhouse (with HOA approval) does not require a permit for a single-day tent rental. For Miami-Dade Parks locations, you need a park reservation and must use a parks-approved vendor. Disco Party Rentals is fully approved and we file the vendor paperwork on your behalf.
Sidewall panels are available for the 20x20 High Peak Tent and provide wind protection, privacy, or a more enclosed feel for evening events. String lighting and uplighting can be arranged on request. Call (786) 789-1900 to discuss add-ons for your event.
We recommend booking 2 to 3 weeks ahead for most dates. For peak-season weekends (March through May for graduations, October through December for holiday parties), book 3 to 4 weeks out. We carry one unit of each tent size, so weekend availability fills quickly. Weekday events can often be booked with one week of notice.
